Hello and welcome to July’s edition of The Clay Factory Diaries. We hope you’re having a great Summer and enjoying the fantastic weather we’ve been having here in Devon. The sunshine really does put a bigger smile on our faces! This month we’re extremely pleased to tell you all about new and exciting partnerships launching here at The Clay Factory.
Mothers Who Make – South Devon Branch
First up we are happy to announce that we are the new host of the recently launched Mothers Who Make South Devon branch which is a new monthly peer support group for mothers who are makers or creatives with groups based all over the country. We personally attended the first one this week and found it really refreshing to see a room full of creatives, hearing their stories and seeing how they can help each other in the coming months. We can highly recommend it for mothers of every kind who have a creative outlet and we’re looking forward to seeing how this collaboration grows and develops over the coming months.
You can join the Mothers Who Make South Devon group here:
Yoga With Stephen Harding
Here at the Clay Factory, we are all about good health and wellbeing so we are really looking forward to hosting yoga classes with senior yoga teacher Stephen Harding. What’s even better is this class is perfect for beginners and anyone who wants to learn more about yoga, so don’t worry if you have no experience and just want to come along for a try as Stephen’s classes are inclusive and he even provides all the equipment you need!

Devon Open Studios with RedPod Arts
We are busy planning our next RedPod Arts event which will be running the 8th to 23rd of September 2018. During these dates RedPod Arts will be taking part in the biggest open studios event in Devon for the annual Devon Artists Network Open Studios, not only this but we are very happy to tell you that this year The Clay Factory will be hosting Devon Artist Network’s launch party for the open studios event which will see us welcoming some of the best artists across Devon to our unique venue. We always look forward to opening our doors to you all and look forward to inviting you in to see what our resident artists have been up to once again.
RedPod Food Pop Up Lunches
As ever, RedPod Food and Chef William continue to provide delicious plant-based meals at our RedPod Food Pop Up Lunches and we have all been rather busy sampling new recipes this month including the supremely tasty Clay Factory Chilli Burger which has been going down a treat and a scrumptious variety of vegan cakes, including a light and fluffy Victoria Sponge (which even we are astounded is completely plant-based). RedPod Food Pop Up Lunches are open every Wednesday and Friday 12.30-14.00 so pop out for some lunch and make sure you say hello!
If you’re interested in finding out more about having a space with us at The Clay Factory drop us an email or say hello via Facebook and we’d be more than happy to give you a tour of our unique and inspiring building.
That’s about it, for now, we’ll be back next month to let you know about new plans and developments, so until then, enjoy the sun.
